The largest ever series filmed in Canada, "The Last of Us" has now been nominated for three Golden Globes.

The hit series that was filmed in the area around Airdrie has now added to the number of nominations it has received.

Here are the nominations the show received:

Just recently, it was announced that the show ranked as the largest series ever filmed in the country, according to an analysis by Oxford Economics.

Oxford Economics calculated that, 'expenditure by the production of Season One of The Last of Us stimulated over $182 million of contribution to Alberta’s GDP from 2021-2022.'

More than 180 Alberta locations were utilized in the filming of the first season.

The show has been nominated for 24 Emmys, including Outstanding Drama Series.

While the show has been renewed for a second season and will continue to be filmed in Canada, filming will take place in neighbouring British Columbia.

The show, based on the 2013 video game, premiered on January 15, to nearly 5 million viewers.
