Families will have plenty to do at the Cochrane Summerfest, July 27.

Organizers have brought in a number of fun activities for the kid's zone open from noon to 6 pm. Kids can take a pony or tractor ride, see what kind of shot they are with a nerf gun in the paintball zone, or try out some pretty crazy activities like a velcro climbing wall. Or go back to the Middle Ages in the Medieval Zone.

A Classic Bullriding event takes over at 6 pm. The top 30 bull riders in the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association will get on some of the meanest stock and do their best to stay on for eight seconds.

Organized by the Cochrane and Area Events Society, Cochrane Summerfest takes place at the Lions Rodeo Park. Purchase tickets in advance online or get them at the gate. For more information, visit the Cochrane Summerfest website.
