The Remembrance Day ceremony that was held at the Field House in Genesis Place was well attended.

Starting at 10:00a.m., the ceremony began by singing our National Anthem, saying the soldier's prayer, the poem In Flanders Fields and a song that was sung by a grade 12 student from George Mac.

The ceremony was dedicated to remembering all those who have lost their lives in WWI, WWII, and wars that continue to be fought today.

The ceremony was attended by Banff-Airdrie MP Blake Richards, Wildrose MLA Angela Pitt, Mayor Peter Brown, and members of City Council.

Once the ceremony closed, guests were invited to attend the wreath laying ceremony that took place at the Town and Country Centre's cenotaph.
