The head coach of the Senior "B" Rocky View Knights is expecting a strong season out of his charges in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League this year.

Heading into tonight's (May 2) second game of the regular season, Gareth Barley says, once they get all their players back, the Knights should have a good year.

"We have four to five guys away at school who have committed to coming back, junior draft picks, to play for us.  We just have to wait for them to get back from university.  Then we have two guys on our team who are playing on a team in a tournament in Prague right now so they'll be gone for the first couple of games of the year.  So when everyone's back, and we have a full team by the end of May, I think we're going to be strong."

The Knight's opponent tonight is the Calgary Raiders. Barley says while almost every Senior "B" team in the RMLL is going through a transition this year, he believes the Raiders should also have a strong club.

"We know the Raiders are going to be stronger down south.  Maybe not with experience but they definitely have players committed to come back and play so they're going to be stronger."

The Knights won their first game of the season, dumping the Calgary Mountaineers 8 - 5 on the weekend.

Tonight's contest between the Knights and the Raiders goes at the Brentwood Arena in Calgary starting at 9:00 pm.
