Jake Vold is back on the rodeo circuit and already has 3 wins under his belt as he works his way back to the top.

Vold initially took a leave of absence after sustaining an injury at the Ponoka Stampede rodeo, although he did take his rides at the Calgary Stampede before announcing he was taking a break on July 10th.

Almost a month later, Vold is back on the horse and has already attended 3 rodeos.

The Canadian Professional Rodeo Association says Vold made an 85-point ride at La Crete, an 87-point ride at Hermiston, and an 83-point ride in Dawson Creek.

The 29-year-old said the leave of absence put a damper on the season he was looking for, but he is bound and determined to rise back to the top for the remainder of the rodeo season.
