With St. Patrick's Day quickly approaching, a group of local Irish are feeling pumped for what's ahead.

The Airdrie Irish Football team held another indoor practice on Tuesday (March 14th) and club President Matt Squires is pleased with the turnout so far.

"We're still seeing good numbers, we're seeing new players every week, even some new CIS (University football) talent which is fantastic to see."

On top of the practices, the team is already gearing up for their St. Patrick's day event and their big fundraiser on April 22nd.

The Irish have just a couple indoor practices left before they hit the field and ready for their season to start on May 27th.
