Hockey Alberta unveiled their new logo Thursday, August 18th.

Having been founded in 1907, the organization hopes their new visual identity will continue to bring the Albertan hockey communities together.

“We believe the new logo connects our entire organization. For our players from each corner of the Province, from grassroots to elite, and for all of our stakeholders who work so hard to ensure everyone has a positive experience in the sport, the new Hockey Alberta brand reflects our pride in our sport in our Province,” said Rob Litwinski, Chief Executive Officer of Hockey Alberta.

The new logo was created with the help of Paul Ongaro of Stadium Sportswear in Edmonton. The previous Hockey Alberta logo had been in use since 2003, but the Team Alberta logo had changed over the past decade.

On-ice officials will wear the new logo this season, as well as Hockey Alberta's Provincial teams.

Both the U-16 Male team and the U-18 Female team will unveil their new jerseys at the national level, when the males compete at the Western Canada Challenge (Oct. 18-23), and the females compete at the National Women's U-18 Championship (Nov. 9-13).

A new logo will also be designed for the Hockey Alberta Foundation.
