For local artist Greg Stewart, it was more than just a song, it was a story of a life cut short for a country.

Last Rememberance Day, the proud Airdronian and Father of two was touched by the National service that not only paid tribute to Canadian Veterans, but the fallen soldier that no one could forget.

Cpl. Nathan Cirillo lost his life while guarding Parliament Hill last October after a lone gunman attacked the Capital site.

The loss of a young man in broad daylight touched millions of lives, including Stewart, who felt that he had to do something to honour the Corporal's memory and all those who've fallen in the line of duty.

Stewart had the chance to join me live last Friday to talk about his life, his music and why he does what he does.
