Mikka Kiprusoff was key in net for the Flames.

The Flames notched their eighth straight win over the Avs on November 12 in Colorado, posting a 4 to 3 victory.

Over the course of that streak, the Flames have scored 31 goals while only allowing 13. Goaltender Miikka Kiprusoff's performance was also key to the Flames win. He made 36 saves and was able to keep his team in as the Avalanche pressed hard to find the equalizer late in the game. Captain Jerome Iginla had his fifth goal of the season and the recently recalled right winger, Paul Byron, opened the scoring with his first goal in a Flames jersey.

The Ottawa Senators face the Flames next, at the Dome on Tuesday, November 15.  Game starts at 7 pm.
