Didsbury will see some road closures tomorrow as filming for a Wynonna Earp special will be taking place.

Wynonna Earp: Vengeance, is set to be a 90-minute special on Tubi featuring a fresh Earp storyline. The Syfy series ran for four seasons until 2021.

Within the series, Wynonna Earp takes on the role of the great-great-granddaughter of the renowned lawman Wyatt Earp. Her journey involves confronting reincarnated outlaws previously dealt with by Wyatt.

The planned road closure for the filming is scheduled to be in effect from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. on March 12. 20th Street will be closed from 18 Avenue to 20 Avenue.

Traffic will undergo detours, and the public can access the Train Station Parking Lot via 19 Avenue.

Filming is also slated to take place in and around the Didsbury Cemetery during the morning hours, in addition to the aforementioned closures.

The Town of Didsbury also stated, there will be an increase in vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Trucks for the filming will begin moving into the area tonight, starting around 8 p.m.

When the original Earp series was shot, multiple scenes were also filmed in the Didsbury area back in 2016.

Airdrie's surrounding area is home to multiple other scenes from popular movies and series like The Last of Us, Under the Banner of Heaven and Ghostbusters: Afterlife.
