The Airdrie Public Library celebrated Family Literacy Day January 24, offering a number of workshops for parents, or care givers and tots.
The different stations include singing, reading, talking, writing and playing, all of which are activities emphasized in pre-school programs.
These are what Maureen Feenstra, youth and children's service manager with the library, says are the foundation blocks to learning.

Around 40 parents, caregivers and young children showed up to take part in the Literacy Day activities.
