Four individuals are facing 37 charges after a Calgary Police investigation led to search warrants in communities, including Rocky View County. 

According to police, in February of 2024, the District 4 Operations Team (DOT) investigated two individuals who were believed to be involved in activities consistent with drug trafficking.

"Between March and May of 2024, it is believed that the suspects were connected to multiple residences. On Friday, May 17, 2024, search warrants were executed in the community of Pantatella and Rocky View County."

During the execution of the warrants, police seized eight cell phones, over $10,00 in cash, 421 grams of cocaine, 658 grams of methamphetamine, 1595 grams of fentanyl, 242 pills of hydromorphone, 703 pills of Percocet, as well as 497 pills of Xanax.

“We would like to thank the many units within the Calgary Police Service, as well as the RCMP and Lethbridge Crime Suppression Team for their assistance with this investigation,” said Staff Sergeant Keith Shufelt of the Calgary Police Service. “The collaborative efforts of officers from various units and external agency partners are crucial to ensure the safety of our community.”

Four men, all Calgary residents have been charged. 33-year-old Syed Ammar Haid Jafary has been charged with:

  • One count of production of fentanyl
  • One count of production of cocaine
  •  Six counts of possession for the purpose of drug-trafficking
  •  One count of proceeds of crime over $5,000
  •  Three counts of failure to comply with a release order

He will next appear in court on Monday, June 3.

22-year-old Khushmanpreet Singh has been charged with:

  •  One count of production of fentanyl
  •  One count of production of cocaine
  •   Six counts of possession for the purpose of drug-trafficking

Singh will next appear in court on Friday, June 21.

21-year-old Anikait Kumar has been charged with:

  • One count of production of fentanyl
  • One count of production of cocaine
  • Six counts of possession for the purpose of drug-trafficking
  •  One count of proceeds of crime over $5,000

He will next appear in court on Friday, June 21.

While 35-year-old Gurinder Singh has been charged with 

  • One count of production of fentanyl
  •  One count of production of cocaine
  •  Six counts of possession for the purpose of drug-trafficking

He will next appear in court on Friday, June 21.
