As Airdrie braces for another day of above 30-degree temperatures, you should watch out for the signs of heat exhaustion and heatstroke.

The Airdrie Professional Firefighters Association recently posted a graphic showing the difference between the two.

Common signs of heat exhaustion include excessive sweating, nausea and muscle cramp while some symptoms of heat stroke include throbbing headaches, a rapid pulse and loss of consciousness.

If you're experiencing heat exhaustion, you should move to a cooler area, take a cold shower and drink plenty of water.

For any signs of heatstroke, you're asked to take immediate action to cool off and call 911.

The heatwave, hitting many parts of Canada, continues through the week with Tuesday's high expected to hit 37 in Airdrie with Canada Day forecasted at 31.
