On July 6, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Didsbury RCMP were requested to assist Airdrie RCMP and Calgary Police Service as a vehicle with a stolen licence plate had fled from officers near Cross Iron Mills Mall.

Calgary Police Helicopter Air Watch for Community Safety (HAWCS) followed the suspect vehicle and were able to assist officers with the location.

The suspect vehicle entered Didsbury and officers were able to utilize their Tire Deflation Device, which quickly disabled the car. Two suspects fled from the vehicle on foot. Containment was set up and shortly after, two suspects were safely arrested.

As the offence was initiated in Calgary, Calgary Police took custody of the two suspects. Investigation revealed that the vehicle had been stolen from Calgary.

Terrence Southern (40) of Clearwater County and Sarah McRae (35) of Calgary have been charged.
