Residents in the Town of Crossfield have elected two new town Councillors.

The unofficial results of the byelection held Monday, show Kim Harris (382 votes) and Justin Gustafson (195 votes) won the seats.

The positions were left vacant after the resignations of Councillors Liz Grace and Beth Gabriel who cited trust issues with the Town’s senior administration.

Just a single vote separated Gustafson and runner-up Jo Lambert who received 194 votes.

Results will be made official at noon on Friday, October 23. The new members will be sworn in at an organization meeting on Oct. 26 with their first meeting as members of Council taking place Oct. 27.
