ORIGINAL:

A multi-vehicle accident was causing major delays southbound on the QEII by CrossIron Mills Mall.

Two righthand lanes were currently blocked off.

We were receiving reports traffic is backed up heavily, almost all the way to Airdrie, so expect delays if you are travelling that way.

It was expected to take a half hour before the vehicles are removed from the highway.

Police and crews were on the scene.

No injuries are reported at this time.
