A previous motor vehicle collision on the QEII heading Southbound near Olds has been cleared.

The collision occurred in the left-hand lane, near Township Road 322 at the junction of Highway 27 with the QEII. However, motorists are asked to continue to drive with caution as there will continue to be delays in the area.

Mounties are advising of poor and slippery road conditions, partly covered with snow on the QEII between Calgary and Olds.

Motorists are asked to postpone travel if possible and if they must travel, to do so with caution.

Highways North of Airdrie are partly covered in snow, with strong winds being reported, resulting in blowing snow. Black ice and slippery wheel paths have also been reported.

South of Airdrie, towards Calgary city limits, the QEII is also partly covered in snow and there are icy sections.

Environment and Climate Change Canada is predicting that snow will continue throughout Sunday and into the evening.
