The Airdrie Public Library will be open tonight as an overnight warming space.

In anticipation of cold weather overnight, the City of Airdrie is extending support to vulnerable and unsheltered residents. The Airdrie Public Library will serve as an overnight warming space, accessible from 8:30 p.m. today, until 9 a.m. tomorrow.

Temperatures are expected to drop to -29 degrees tonight with wind chills reaching -38.

Tuesday is forecasted to bring milder temperatures, and the Library will resume its regular operating hours, remaining open from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Airdrie Transit is committed to ensuring the safety of all residents along their transit routes. Transportation options will be provided to facilitate access to various programs, services, or other warm and secure environments.
