On February 20, at about 7:25 p.m., Cochrane RCMP received a report of broken traffic lights at the intersection of Highway 1A and Highway 22. The transformer box at the crossroads had been knocked over, damaging the railing and exposing wires. Crews worked for several hours to repair the lights, which were out of service during this time. The estimated cost of repairing the transformer box and guardrail is over $2,000. RCMP is seeking any information about the cause of the damage.
