As of 2:00pm the level 2 fire band that was in affect for Rocky View County has been lifted

Residents requesting renewal of a burning permit can contact the Emergency Services department at 403-230-1401

With the cold weather coming, there's some good news for Cochrane residents.

As of 1:30 this afternoon, the Town of Cochrane lifted the fire ban that was in effect.

The town is advising residents that if they do have a fire, to use discretion.
