Fraud charges laid against a local homebuilder in Cochrane won’t come before a judge again until next September.

The accused has pleaded not guilty. Navin Maghera of Modena Homes Inc. was charged by Service Alberta after two people paid deposits on Cochrane homes that were never finished in the MonTerra on Cochrane Lakes area.

The alleged offences took place in 2008 and '09 with the combined loss of both parties in excess of $200,000.  Maghera and Modena Homes have been charged with 16 offences of fraud over $5,000 along with other violations.
