Twice a week, as we lead up to Christmas, we're looking for the ALL-TIME BEST Christmas movie.

We compiled a list of the most popular holiday movies from the past few decades and randomly seeded them into a bracket so they can battle head-to-head. No, we did not include Die Hard... sorry not sorry.

In today's battle arena... HOME ALONE vs POLAR EXPRESS:

In the blue corner...

Home Alone:

Coming out in the golden year of 1990, Home Alone only took 83 days to film. Filming took place almost entirely in the state of Illinois and you know the giant house Kevin lives in? Yeah, not a house at all, it's actually a fake house built inside the gymnasium and empty swimming pool of a school. The whole cast and crew wouldn't be able to fit in a house so they TRICKED US.

The movie cost 18 million dollars to make but made it back ten-fold when it brought in 476 million dollars at the box office. With today's inflation, it would make over 1 billion dollars at the box office. The movie was so successful the squeal Home Alone 2: Lost in New York came out in 1993. Then there was that third Home Alone movie... but we don't talk about that one...

In the red corner...

Polar Express:

There is a real-life train that will take you from Cochrane, Alberta to Moosonee, Ontario called the Polar Bear Express... don't mistake this movie for that train. The Polar Express is based on a book from the 1980s and was praised for its relaxing storyline. Except, have you ever seen this movie? It's honestly a little stressful. At one point there's a kid ON TOP of the train while it's zooming at full speed like how is this relaxing?

Coming out in 2004, the movie's premise is that, no matter how old you get, you're never too old to believe in Christmas Spirit. It follows an unnamed boy who boards a train with conductor Tom Hanks and holiday-themed shenanigans ensue. Tom Hanks plays 5 different roles throughout the film, including the narrator. The movie was deemed a big success and was nominated for 6 awards, winning a Grammy for best song.
