The Airdrie Brewers were in the game most of the way last night (May 29) but still couldn't come up with their first victory in the Foothills Major Baseball Association.

The Calgary White Sox outhit Airdrie 10 to four and outscored them 5 - 2.

The loss came despite a strong effort from pitcher Phil Whelan who went the distance for Airdrie.  Mitchell Donst drove in two runs for the Brew crew.

The defeat drops Airdrie's record on the season to 0 and 8 while the White Sox improve to 5 and 4.

Airdrie now has a break of over a week before they meet the Diamondbacks in their next game, Thursday, June 7th.
