Both of the local teams who saw action last night (May 10) in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League came away winners.

The Senior 'B' Rocky View Knights are finding that playing the Calgary Mounties this season is to their liking.  The two clubs have met twice already this season and both times the Knights have come out on top.  This time around they edged the Mounties 6 - 5 in the Plainsman Arena.

Meanwhile, the Tier Two Junior 'B' Rocky View Rage faced off with the Olds Stingers in Cochrane and came away with a rarity in lacrosse, a shutout.  The Rage blanked the Stingers 7 - 0.

Both teams are back in action today, and, once again, both are at home.  The Knights welcome the Beaumont Outlaws for a 2:30 pm game at the Plainsman Arena.  The Rage are once again in the Spray Lakes Sawmill Family Sports Centre in Cochrane where they'll play the Red Deer Renegades starting at 2:00 pm.

In other action for locals today, both Silvertips teams play.  The Tier One Junior 'B' Rocky View Silvertips host the Calgary Chill at Spray Lakes in Cochrane.  The ball drops on that contest at 8:00 pm.

The Junior Ladies Rocky View Silvertips are on the road in Sherwood Park where they'll face the Titans.

The Senior 'C' Airdrie Mohawks will try to build on their 2 and 0 start to the season when they face the Stingers in Olds.
