After a tough loss last Saturday (January 28th), the Airdrie CFR Bisons were hoping for a better result on Sunday as they took on the Knights of Columbus Pats.

The Bisons were well in control of the game in the first period, jumping out to a 3-1 lead thanks to goals from Jacob Cathcart, Jake Petrie and Cayde Augustine.

The Pats came back with two goals in the period, leaving each team deadlocked at 3-3 heading into the final frame.

It only took a few minutes for Brett LaGrandeur to give the Bisons the lead again thanks to assists from Jett Jones and Ethan Strang.

Unfortunately, the Pats would come back in the final minutes of the third period, thanks to a power play. A delay of game penalty would eventually cost the Bisons as the Pats Scott Lancaster scored the tying goal with 3 minutes remaining.

Neither team would get the upper hand in the final seconds, leaving the final score at 4-4.

With just five games left in the regular season, the Bisons won't be in the playoffs this year but are hoping to give their fans some excitement in the final games.

The Bisons are at home on February 3rd as they welcome the Calgary Royals, followed by a game on February 4th against the Okotoks Bow Mark Oilers.
