For the first two periods, the Airdrie CFR Bisons were hanging in against the defending Mac's Midget Hockey Tournament champions but the third frame proved to be a killer.

The St. Albert Raiders scored three goals in the third to down the Bisons 6 - 2 yesterday (December 28), handing Airdrie their second loss of the tourney.  The Bisons record is now 0 and 2.

Alex Bend got his second goal of the tourney for the Bisons with Shaw Cathcart adding the second on a power play early in the second period to tie the game at 2 - 2.  St. Albert scored midway through the second to take the lead back, then went to work in the third for the win.

Most of the play was in the Bisons end of the ice throughout the game.  Airdrie goalie Garrett Fuller faced 35 shots while the Bisons could only muster nine shots at the Raiders' goal.

Airdrie is back on the ice early this morning for their third game of the tournament.  They face the Moose Jaw Warriors at 9:00 am in the Ken Bracko Arena at the Max Bell Centre.

The Warriors are 2 and 0 for the tourney and are tied for first in Pool Four with St. Albert.
