The Airdrie Basketball League is picking up momentum with a ton of interest this year, but with all the interest comes the need for more coaches.

Jesse McNeil, President of the Airdrie Basketball League said right now they need an immediate position filled for the head coach of the bantam girls team for 11 and 12 year-old's.

"We are looking for someone from the community that might be able to step in and help coach them. We are also looking for a couple of assistant coaches for the same age group for both boys and girls."

The team needs to be registered with the Calgary League by 9 am on Friday, September 23.

McNeil said all the teams will begin practices next week and the first game will take place on October 15.
