It’s been a long time coming, but Airdrie’s Jake Vold is back in the Rodeo win column.

The local Bareback rider scored an 84 on his final ride at last weekend’s Sundre Pro Rodeo to split the overall title.

Fellow cowboy Caleb Bennet also had an 84 to tie for the top spot.

It’s the first time that Vold has reached the top since injuring his knee at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas last December.

Next up for Vold and his fellow riders is the beginning of Cowboy Christmas which starts at the Ponoka Stampede today (June 26th).
