The Calgary Stampede Rodeo wrapped up on Sunday and this weekend the focus shifts to Edmonton and the K-Days Rodeo.

Although the rodeo doesn't have the hype of the Stampede, it's still a big show for a number of area competitors.

The rodeo features three performances, running tonight (July 21), Saturday and Sunday night at 6:30 pm.  In the opening performance, a pair of Didsbury competitors are up.

In Bull Riding, Kyle Brown has drawn the bull J. Morton.  Tyler Johnson will take part in the Tie Down Roping.

In performance number two on Saturday, Carstairs cowboy Kyle Lucas competes in Tie Down Roping, Straws Milan from Cochrane is out in Steer Wrestling and Klay White of Airdrie will take part in the Team Roping event along with his partner Steele Depaoli of Longview, Alberta.

The final performance on Sunday will feature a pair of locals who both made it to the final day at the Stampede.

Airdrie's Jake Vold, who went into the Stampede finals in first place, only to be bucked off in the bareback event, is up on a horse named Black Feathers. Cochrane's Tanner Milan, who took top money during the first three performances of the Stampede, is out in Steer Wrestling.

Other area cowboys in the last performance include Spur Lacasse who now calls Airdrie home, riding Pilsner Power in bareback and Morgan Grant of Didsbury in Tie Down Roping.
