Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) has issued a Frost Advisory for the Airdrie area.

"Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops," stated ECCC.

Gardeners are urged to take precautions to safeguard plants and trees that are vulnerable to frost.

Cochrane, Olds, and Sundre were also included in the advisory.

A Frost Advisory was also issued to the Airdrie area back on Saturday. Airdrie could possibly see frost throughout the week as the forecasted lows are near zero degrees.
