AirdrieFEST 2023 will take place this weekend, September 9 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. outside of City Hall on Main Street.

This year AirdrieFEST will have around 200 vendor booths with plenty of different activities taking place.

Kristen Shima, AirdrieFEST Organizer with the City of Airdrie explains what it's all about.

"AirdrieFest is a street festival that you've come downtown to visit to discover new businesses, hidden gems and local talent that we have here in our community."

Some different events taking place include Taste of Airdrie, a musician stage, an entertainment stage, an artisan market (Airdrie Lutheran Church) and of course, the kid's thrift clothing exchange which is also taking place at Airdrie Lutheran Church.

"I'm really excited about the Taste of Airdrie. It's new this year to experience our local culinary scene. Then we also added a new musician stage at Towerlane.

The music stage at Towerlane Mall includes:

  • Cat Tyler
  • Eden Regier
  • Mark Lorenz
  • Hayley Isabel
  • Malibu2
  • Jase Rathgeber

The entertainment stage at city hall will have a number of different acts, some of which are Airdrie Sky High Twirlers, Nose Creek Players and Rocky Mountain Symphony.

Of course, a part of Main Street and Towerlane Mall will be closed to vehicle traffic so Airdronians will have to find an alternate route. Airdrie Urgent Care will still be accessible.
