Airdrie RCMP and Airdrie Municipal Enforcement are hosting a Policing Town Hall and invite residents to attend and provide input.

Brad White, Acting Staff Seargent for Investigation Services, says residents attending the Town Hall will have many ears listening to their concerns.

“We're providing an opportunity for residents to provide input on their concerns relating to community safety and policing. That information is taken by Airdrie City Council, the RCMP, and the Municipal Police Advisory Board.”

The information being brought forward will be identified and prioritized in their policing activities for 2022 and 2023.

White says any input brought forward from residents is appreciated and taken seriously.

“People can share their concerns in an open format without having to make a complaint or open an investigation. No matter how trivial they think their complaint is going to be, or something they never thought that maybe that we were investigating or had identified as an issue, we encourage people to bring that stuff to our attention so we can prioritize our response for the next year.”

This Town Hall will be in the Council Chambers on Tuesday, March 15 at 6 pm.

The RCMP asks you to submit any question you have beforehand to police.townhall@airdrie.ca no later than Wednesday, March 9.
