Some numbers decreased while others, including the number of Omicron Variant cases, increased. 

In the past 24 hours, Alberta Health Services identified 1,346 new cases of COVID-19 from 11,516 tests. There are currently 7,065 active cases of COVID in the province. Yesterday, that number was 6,045  

Alberta Health Services has now identified 2,131 Omicron Variant cases in total. Yesterday, that number was 1,609.

Hospitalizations across Alberta dropped slightly with 326 Albertans currently in the hospital due to COVID-19. There were 329 Albertans in the hospital yesterday. The number of Albertans in intensive care is now 65, which is a decrease from the 69 ICU patients yesterday.

The province is broken into 5 different zones, not including the unknown zone, each with its own unique COVID stats. Right now, the Calgary Zone has the most active cases in Alberta with 3,887. The zone with the lowest number of active cases is the South Zone with 223.    

As for Alberta schools, there are active alerts or outbreaks in 187 schools. Of these, 5 schools are on outbreak status. No schools in Airdrie or the surrounding area are currently listed with an outbreak, however, 4 Airdrie schools are on alert status. In the City of Airdrie, there are currently 127 active cases of COVID-19. Yesterday, Airdrie had 100 active cases of COVID-19.

The number of active cases of COVID-19 in Rocky View County is 105. The county had 87 active cases of COVID yesterday.

To date, the province has administered 7,400,284 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine with 89.1% of eligible Albertans over the age of 12 having received one dose and 85% of eligible Albertans over the age of 12 fully vaccinated.
