The Airdrie A's are at the top of the Alberta District 3 Senior Big League.

Holding an impressive 13-1 record, the A's wrapped up the regular season with a 3-2 win against the Foothills Rockies on Monday, June 6th.

"We had some new kids, some younger kids that came in, and we've had the same kind of core group that I have coached for the last few years," said Airdrie A's Head Coach Dean McAffrey. "It was a really good group of kids, we had a really good commitment level."

The A's have become quite familiar with the post season, as they are looking at the chance to win their third championship in a row.

McAffrey says that the A's regular season success puts a bit of a target on their back:

"It's okay during the year, and then you get into the playoffs and you start to loose a little bit sleep here and there, especially when you end up in first place, and you know everyone is kinda gunning for you a little bit."

Not only are the A's at the top of the league, but the Airdrie Astros also hold second place with a record of 9-2.

This year's playoff matchups are yet to be announced, but post-season action should start within the next week.
