Provincial figures showed 114 new cases of coronavirus identified today (September 2) bringing the total number to 1,403, five more than on Tuesday.  

1,403 Albertans are battling the virus but 12,535 have now recovered.  50 people remain hospitalized with COVID-19 with nine patients in the ICU.  

Another person has succumbed, with the provincial death toll now reaching 242. 8,296 tests were performed by the provincial lab in the past 24 hours making for a total of 984,736 tests done since the start of the pandemic.

The City of Airdrie saw our number of active cases fall by one to 22 while 82 people have now recovered.  The Rocky View County cases are unchanged from Tuesday with six active and 86 recovered.
