Airdrie RCMP have charged a 26-year-old female from Pentiction with 77 charges following a traffic stop in Airdrie.

On Tuesday (July 3rd), an Airdrie RCMP officer noticed a black Nissan Altima with a BC license plate being driven along Yankee Valley Boulevard.

The license plate indicated that the driver of the vehicle had their license suspended. The officer stopped the vehicle and learned it was being driven by a lone female. The female driver, behaving nervously, produced what appeared to be a fake drivers license. After several checks, RCMP learned that the female was on probation and conditions for charges including impersonation and fraud. Due to the driver not having a valid drivers license, the vehicle was seized and towed.

A search of the car yielded numerous items including suspected fentanyl, methamphetamines, numerous weapons including bear spray, knives and a collapsible police baton.

Break-in tools, stolen property including cheques were also found, as well as fake credit cards, government documents, and equipment to create fake cards and documents.

The stolen items were linked to crimes that have taken place in Calgary, Cochrane, Red Deer, Surrey, Vancouver and Coquitlam.

26-year old Stephany Heppner of Pentiction, BC, is charged with 77 offenses including possession of weapons, drugs, stolen property, and fake credit cards.
