Two players from Cochrane had a night to remember in the Western Hockey League playoffs last night, but one wishes it had turned out a bit differently.

Tyler Wong was in on all three Lethbridge goals, scoring once and assisting on the other two, and was picked the game's third star, but, in the end, even that effort wasn't enough as the Hurricanes dropped a 4 - 3 decision to the Red Deer Rebels.

With the loss the 'Canes trail the best of seven first round series two games to one with game four in Red Deer tonight.

Dillon Dube scored the game's only goal in the second period as the Kelowna Rockets blanked the Kamloops Blazers 1 - 0.

Dube was named the first star.

Kelowna now has a three games to one lead in the first round series.

Also tonight, the Calgary Hitmen will try to stave off elimination when they host the Regina Pats in game four of that series with Regina up three games to none.

Another Cochrane player, Jayden Gordon will be in the lineup for the Hitmen.
