From July 18 to 20, Olds RCMP entered into a proactive Controlled Drug and Substance Act (CDSA) operation, in an effort to reduce drug-impaired driving in the Town of Olds.

As a result, over 43 grams of suspected methamphetamine was taken off the streets from several traffic stops.

Robin Lynne Strub (34), a resident of Calgary, was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and failing to comply with a probation order.  Strub was released by a Justice of the Peace to appear in Didsbury Court on August 22, 2022.

Billyjack James Williams (50), a resident of Mountain View County, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and was also arrested on an outstanding warrant from Olds RCMP.  Williams appeared in Didsbury Court today on both matters.

Charges are pending against an adult male for possession of a controlled substance and breach of conditions, and against an adult female for possession of a controlled substance and breach of a release order (x2).

Olds RCMP want to remind the public of the importance of reporting suspicious activity to police.
