After last weeks more seasonal temperatures Airdronians can look forward to some above seasonal temperatures this weekend.

According to Robyn Dyck, Meteorologist with Environment Canada we can expect a high-pressure ridge that is going to bring warm air over the mountains and to Airdrie.

" We do have a surface ridge of high pressure that is sitting over the province of Alberta and is tracking to east out of the way, so as the ridge moves off we will see that warm Pacific air over the Rockies."

The average temperatures for this time of year are about -6.

This week we are expecting highs of around six degrees with no precipitation in the forecast.

" It doesn't look like there is any significant precipitation coming into the forecast but ahead of that there may be traces of flurries and strong winds brought on by that warm front."
