City Council will convene for their only meeting of the month tonight (July 4).

The lengthy agenda will include a presentation from the Nose Creek Swim Club on the need for a new aquatic centre, the official results of the 2017 census, and an update on the status of the 2014 Alberta Summer Games Cultural Legacy Project.

There will be three public hearings on bylaw amendments regarding land use, followed by the reading of those bylaws. Airdrie Minor Hockey will give an update on a proposal to put portables behind the Ron Ebbesen Arena.

Council will also give feedback on proposed electoral boundary changes that will impact Airdrie, as well as the Province's cannabis framework. Council will also be given options on a planning process for the future of the Airdrie Public Library.
