After almost a week of gas prices teasing along the dollar mark, drivers in Rocky View have enjoyed a relief at the pumps and chances are it might stay that way for a bit.

According to Senior Petroleum Analyst with Gas Buddy, Dan McTeague the prices might not change for a few days.

"If there's going to be any gas prices movement it's likely to the upside and that is only likely to happen at least we might not see anything until Thursday."

McTeague wouldn't say how high a potential increase will be as there's still some factors to look at in the coming week.

"We're going to have to watch the market today, tomorrow and Wednesday...Mostly because there's still some problems with a fairly large refinery in Illinois."

The majority of gas pumps in Airdrie are selling at 88.4 c/litre, slightly below the Provincial average of 91.5.
