Two Calgary residents are facing a list of charges following the seizure of a large amount of drugs, cash, and several firearms.

The Airdrie Crime Reduction Unit, Calgary Police Service, and CPS Tactical Team searched a home in the NW Calgary neighbourhood of Tuscany on Friday, October 23.

"The search warrant was the result of an investigation into the direct supply chain of illegal drugs into the City of Airdrie," states an RCMP news release.

Officers seized the following drugs worth an approximate street value of $100,000:

  • 1.5 kilograms of Alprazolam (Xanax)
  • 90.1 grams carfenanil 
  • 33.9 grams fentanyl
  • 109.8 grams methamphetamine
  • 15.1 grams of psilocybin (magic mushrooms)
  • 33.5 grams of heroine
  • 48.7 grams of crack/cocaine
  • 1750 millilitres (approximately) of gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB)
  • 101.6 grams of oxycodone

The following was also seized:

  • $2750 Canadian cash
  • A fully automatic .22 rifle with silencer
  • A loaded 12 gauge shot gun
  • A loaded sawed off shot gun
  • Two unpinned magazines
  • Body armour  

Melanie Nicole Agerskov, 25, and Alexander Timothy Kulach, 24, face numerous charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking, possessing a loaded firearm, and three charges under the body armour control act. Kulach is also charged with three counts of breaching a release order.

Agerskov was released on bail and is set to appear in Airdrie Provincial Court on November 27. Kulach remains in custody and has a November 4 court date.
