Here's something to think about when you stop for a fill-up today.

If you're filling up in Airdrie, and your gas tank holds 40 litres, you're going to save over two bucks on what you'd spend to fill up in most of the rest of the province.

Of course, it depends on where in the province you're filling up.

According to Dan McTeague of  GasBuddy.com, the price for a litre of gas in Alberta is averaging $1.16.33.  In Airdrie, the price is around $1.10.9.  The average price in the province is being kept lower by prices in Edmonton, which are averaging $1.04.82, and Calgary which has an average price of $1.06.11.

The average price nationally is $1.15.22 per litre.

McTeague predicts that prices in the Calgary area will likely fall by another cent a litre in the week ahead.

GasBuddy surveys 1,519 gas outlets in Alberta on a daily basis to come up with their data.
