AirdrieFEST is just around the corner.

The City Of Airdrie held a preview of AirdrieFEST for the media and other organizations.

Kim Harris, Community Developer with the city says a lot of things have changed for the event this time around.

"Our goal today is to try and showcase some of the new things coming to AirdrieFEST like the beer gardens, Music on Main, and the artist benches."

Not for profit groups were in attendance as well as Davis Chevrolet, the title sponsor for the event.

Jessica Jacobs from Davis says it's crucial for local businesses to be involved in these kinds of events.

"We wanted to find a way to weave ourselves as a business into the fabric of the community because it's more about business its really about engaging in our community and try and be as active as possible because we love Airdrie"

Jacobs also says her staff is really looking forward to the event.

"If you ask our staff what their favourite part will be they will say its the music headliner but for me personally I love the vendors.  It's a really good way to know all of the unique businesses in Airdrie."

Airdrie FEST is set to kick off on September 7th and run through September 8th.
