Airdrie’s Genesis Place leisure pool set to reopen this weekend
Today, the City of Airdrie has announced that the leisure pool, tot pool, hot tub and steam room at Genesis Place will reopen on Saturday, October 4, following final approval from Alberta Health Services. The city shared that public swimming will be available from 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on reopening day. “We know the community has been eagerly awaiting the pool’s return,” said Brad Anderson, manager of Recreation Services. “We’re excited to reopen the leisure pool and remain committed to reopening the dive tank and lane pool as soon as possible, so we can fully support our all of Airdrie’s residents, including our pools’ fitness users and competitive swimmers.” Registration for late-October swimming lessons opens Oct. 5 at 8 a.m. for residents of Airdrie and Rocky View County, with general registration starting Oct. 9. "Reopening dates for the dive tank and lane pool remain tentative, with the dive tank expected to reopen Oct. 11, and the lane pool Oct. 25, pending final testing and approvals," the city concluded with.
