According to a notice from ACTRA Alberta — the provincial branch of the Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists — production is listed for Feb. 3 to Feb. 26, 2026. Joe Thornton is named as producer, with Marcy Dichter attached as both writer and director. Casting director Adrian Young and production coordinator Donna Burwood are also included. A production manager is listed as “TBD.” The ACTRA Alberta notice does not specify whether The Icetalker is a film or television series, and no storyline, cast or distribution details are included. Two other productions are currently listed for Calgary and the surrounding areas. My Life With the Walter Boys Season 3 is filming from Aug. 6 to Dec. 1, 2025, with Monika Mitchell directing and Darin Wilson as production manager, according to the Directors Guild of Canada’s Alberta production list. Anna Pigeon Season 1 is filming until Nov. 19, 2025, with Lea Thompson directing and Hudson Cooley as production manager, according to the DGC list.
