Armed robbery at Banff credit union under RCMP investigation
RCMP say they are investigating an armed robbery at the Bow Valley Credit Union in Banff. Police said officers were dispatched at 9:40 a.m. On Wednesday, a man threatened employees with a firearm and demanded money from the tills and vault. RCMP describe the suspect as wearing a black puffy jacket, blue jeans, white running shoes, a red Canadian Tire grocery bag and a blue surgical mask covering his face. Anyone with information, or dashcam or doorbell footage from Beaver Street and Caribou Street between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. Wednesday, is asked to call Banff RCMP at 403-763-6600.
