A traffic incident caused lane and ramp closures on northbound Deerfoot Trail near Country Hills Boulevard N.E. on Tuesday afternoon. Calgary police said one northbound lane between Airport Trail and Country Hills Boulevard N.E., as well as the off-ramp to eastbound Country Hills Boulevard, were closed. “Please use alternative routes,” police said in a post on X, formerly Twitter. According to 511 Alberta, the incident began around 1:51 p.m., with the right lane blocked northbound near Country Hills Boulevard N.E. The agency listed lane and ramp closures, traffic congestion, and emergency crews responding, advising motorists to “use alternate route” and “drive with caution.” Update: NB Deerfoot Trail to EB Country Hills Blvd. NE ramp and RHL, Calgary - CLOSED due to earlier traffic incident.
