How do you feel about phones being used in Airdrie drive thru's? Have any stories?

We have heard stories from all over now, of people getting a ticket for being on their phones while in the drive thru. In Manitoba, they just increased the penalties for distracted driving. Drivers breaking the law face a $672 fine and a three-day roadside suspension of their license. They have even pointed out drive thru texting. My first question was what about if you have to pay with an app? They actually gave a quick tip for this situation, Saying to pull up, put your car in park then get your app out and pay. So much for fast food lol We all know apps are notorius for not working as things like the shops wifif and stuff try to connect etc.
