October 16 to the 22, Airdrie Public Library is marking 'Teen Read Week', an initiative of the Young Adult Library Services Association that celebrates teen readers and young adult literature, and encourages teens to read for fun and pleasure.

This year’s theme is 'Picture It' at your library.

At APL, Tween Zone, which goes Friday October 21 at 2:30 pm, will be devoted to the Picture It theme.  Participants will  design movie posters for their favourite books and will write their own graphic novels.

There'll also be a display of books and a Top 10 list voted on by teens over the summer.

Drop into APL for more details. The Library is located at 304 Main Street, next to City Hall and across from Tower Lane Centre.
